Youth Scholarship 2010

The Upper Murray Agribusiness Business Group and Towong Shire Council present the Upper Murray Agribusiness Youth Scholarship 2010

This scholarship is valued at $2000 and is available to Year 10 students attending secondary school in the Towong Shire.

The scholarship will be awarded to students with vocational interests in agriculture, horticulture or the environment and the application of science and technology in these fields. The scholarship will provide invaluable exposure to modern agribusiness and specific training through TAFE in the students chosen field of interest.

Recipients of this scholarship receive:

• A laptop computer and relevant software
• Work experience with UMAG members and affiliated agribusiness participants
• Subsidised training at Certificate II or III at Goulburn Ovens TAFE, Wodonga TAFE or Riverina TAFE commencing in Semester 2, 2010

To be eligible for this great scholarship applicants must be over 15 and be attending either Tallangatta Secondary College or Corryong College. A maximum of one student from each school will be selected.

Expressions of interest must be received by Friday March 12 and applications are to be made through the school.
